Team News: 3.18.07 Team STEELE presents to the homeschool connection project fair. 2.26.07 Team STEELE meets to plan the 2007 competition "Power Puzzle". 1.6.2007 Team STEELE competes at the regional event in Lake Zurich. They get 4th place out of 16 teams in their Research Project and 4th place in the Teamwork Evaluation! Wow! ! Click here to see a taped version of the presentation. Congratulations Ryan, Barrett, Alexander, and Zachary! 12.30.2006: First version of the team website is available for review! 12.11.2006: Team STEELE presents their report to two science classes at the Classical Consortium. 12.4.2006: Team STEELE presents their report to a local homeschool group. 12.2.2006: The "Flying Geeks" from Nashua Christian Academy made Lego League history with an incredible single autonomous robot run. Click here to see more! 10.20.2006: Alexander's Uncle James Garrett visited our team to observe our project progress and provide some learning on nanotechnology. "Learn to ask questions about nature. This is the key. Let your curiosity and imagination carry your thoughts to places where no other mind has gone. What is FLL? • Our Project • The Results • Team Picture • Current Year • 2008 Results Welcome to the Internet home for Team STEELE. We are a team of 4 boys competing in the FIRST LEGO® League event. What is FIRST LEGO® League? FIRST LEGO League is a result of an alliance between FIRST and the LEGO Company. It requires teams to solve real-world challenges using robotics. In addition, teams research a topic and create a report. This year the subject area is nanotechnology. Our Project The question our team sought to answer is this: "How can nanotechnology be used to treat cancer?" Our proposed solution is decorating buckyballs with chemically enhanced antibodies to deliver life-saving medicine directly to cancer cells. What does this all mean? Go to our report page for more information. You can also view of video of our presentation from that page. The Results We competed on January 6, 2007 and are very excited to announce the results!
